I'm pregnant... should I tell my BF?

I just found out this morning that I'm pregnant. I confirmed it with an at home pregnancy test. 2 months ago I didn't renew my prescription for my birth control pill and now here I am... pregnant. I am a college student (22) and my boyfriend is 25. Neither one of us are ready for a baby but he doesn't believe in abortion. I know this is the option I want, but if I told him I was pregnant, he would want to keep the baby. I'm thinking of just easing the heartache and not telling him at all and going for the abortion by myself and not telling anyone. Would this be an awful and immoral idea? I'm really not in a place - financially or emotionally - to bring another being into this world. Help :(
