i am 13 years old. i do think about a lot of things as "whatever". i think it's because after a lifetime of horrible thing being thrown your way, you kind of have to say whatever. you can't get hype or flip out over everything if it's happened so many times before. Now, (from what adults say) children are exposed to much more. Maybe we are, but since we've been born it's what we are used to. Sometimes I think it's good to learn about things young so you can have an early knowledge and not be so surprised, but it affects you because you might be scared for the situation to occur. Like for example, love. Every show has people dealing with love, break ups, etc. It can be helpful, but hindering, you might be scared to fall in love with everything you hear about love and you might steer away from it. In my case, I've been exposed to much more. Because I skipped a grade. I am supposed to be in the 8th grade and im in the 9th. So people around my age are immature and don't know about certain things. But i do because I'm around everyone else who does. I am growing up faster, I think about older things(not to much older as some of my friends). But, that is what most teens are exposed to.

Hmm I've never heard of anyone burning themselves from hot compressions but the best thing to do is to not touch it. Touching it too much can lead to infection and make it stay around even longer. To help it heal faster I would say that you need to moisturise, moisturise, MOISTURISE.And then apply sunblock, I don't care if its night time, apply your sunblock, everything around us has UV rays including our lights and computer screen and you want to protect that burn as much as you can. But of course you don't need sunblock when your going to bed. You could also try sudocrem...it can be used for minor burns and it is what I use when I burn myself with my curling iron. It may also be a good idea to avoid exfoliating that area completely to allow your skin to scab over it thus healing it...hope this was helpful....the burn should be on its way to recovery by the time you go back to school

Kickflip!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

ok ive already asked this question before but nothing seems to be helping me... they always say flick the top concave(corner) or the board and jump as high as you can... well ya i can get the board flipping... but i have a series of problems... sometimes i jump back when i try to kickflip... sometimes the board goes a little ways in front of me.... but my main problem is that i cant get above the board... when kickflip(well try to atleast) my feet usually hit the ground while the board is still in the air.. i do have a really good ollie nice and high... but the kickflip is messing me up... without being able to do it my skateboarding days are over... 3 months and no progress... please help??????:(

Why do i keep breaking out?

I just found out this morning that I'm pregnant. I confirmed it with an at home pregnancy test. 2 months ago I didn't renew my prescription for my birth control pill and now here I am... pregnant. guys it takes only so much that a guy can handle until he can be wrecked, and this , is my story. So i had a "best friend" that is a girl, it didn't bother me she was a girl since she seemed like a unique true friend, turned out i was wrong. After this friend started talking about my cousin ( a girl) i grew tired enough to tell my cousin that she should stop trying to be her friend since she doesn't like her, so we go to a party one day , no surprise, i got drunk and my "best friend" leaves me there , alone, calling me a du-m-b *** which i suppose was true , my cousin on the other hand stays by my side , aides me and doesn't let me go , what hurt the most was that my bestfriend left me to go dance with a guy she had been talking crap about and who was her ex and who she said she would never talk 2 then when she's over there on his . Next day at school , "best friend" writes me a note, the note turns out to be her telling me that she's mad she tried taking care of me and i that "i got mad " because of it, so basically shes saying my cousin left me to rot and she took care of me, crap. after this tension began builiding up and eventually it started, she began to treat me like crap and suprsingly, talk about me with other people, that ended my world, for so long i have known her she was like family our families went to parties together she told me everything she was like a sister, so i figure out she was indeed talking crap and instead of sinking down to talking crap about her, i just ignore it, next day of school , i was in the cafteria with my cousin when i see her marching my way and she takes of her bag as if she wants to fight, she says, "can we talk" and i say "yeah but let's go to the corner i don't want people to get in our business and i grab her hand and she yells "don't f-u-c-k-e-n touch me" and i got shocked and she starts yelling at me so i reply "you know what you can talk to me when your not gonna scream" and i leave. Next day tension continues so much that i decide to go to the counsler instead of getting into a conflict with her, after all i'm a guy she's a girl. Switching from daycare to in home care. How much to pay? Will this have an adverse affect on my son?

My son is 7 months-old and has been in daycare since the end of August. A really good friend of mine, has decided she does not want to return to work and has decided to stay home with her daughter. Her daughter is 3 months old. She told me that she could care for Sammy and her daughter at the same time to save me some money. She will be doing the care at my house and her house. Her house is about a 5 minute walk from mine. She had offered before, but was not certain on if she was going to return to work or not, and her and her husband feel it is more affordable for her to stay home vs. the cost of child care. Anyways, will this confuse my son, by staying home or going to her house vs. going to his daycare? He LOVES this friend of mine, so I know he will be okay in that aspect, but I don't want to confuse him, by changing the care situation. She has offered to do the care for free since I am providing him with things he needs and she is home anyways. I told her, that I can NOT let her do it for free. Since he will be home, I can see him between my cles and work schedule. Between my daily schedule and his dads', she will be caring for him about 6 hours a day and 5 days a week. I told her that I wanted to give her $45 a day to watch him. She says that is way TOO much, but I can't help but think it's too little? Watching children is NOT an easy task, especially when you have your own to tend to also. That is still a lot less than daycare. Is $45 a day for 6 hours too little? What would be a good amount?

I'm sorry to hear that. I would give it time, try to find things to take your mind off of it for a while, and see a counselor if you feel it's really impacting you negatively. But I think what you REALLY need to do, is be there and focus on helping your friend, who DID know her personally, and was very close with her. Sometimes we have to put those we care about before ourselves and help them when they need it.

Can a severe bruise be dangerous?

My husband (44 yrs old) fell a few days ago. He has a terrible bruise starting at his waist, down his backside, covering the side of his thigh almost to his knee. He says the bruise doesn't hurt much, but his muscles are very stiff and sore. He's been taking ibuprofin for the pain. Lock deicer will take care of frozen door locks but if door is sticking to stripping because of the cold, open the door and spray the weather stripping with PAM cooking spray or something of the same nature. Trust me this works, I've done it to quite a few vehicles that show up at my shop. Are door bouncers allowed to treat people like this???

my friend used her sis ID and the bouncers sed no which was fair enuf an they shud hav just asked us to leave and we would have. However, 5 male bouncers surrounded us swearing, callin us the most disgustin names an i couldnt believe it as we were just calmly standing there. Here`s the situation. Myself and another woman have been having an affair for over a year now. We both knew what we were doing was wrong but there was something between us that was unreal. Stalls when it wants. 94 grand Cherokee?

got a 94 jeep grand cherrokee with a 4.0. it stalls while driving and starts it self back up from the turning the engine over. it started after a 200 mile trip. seams to be worse with ac or cruise control on i think its related to the heat outside. its been very warm here and it seems the hotter it is the worse it is. my truck is NOT overheating, i had a fuel pressure tester on it when it stalled and it did not go below 30 but im not sure what the pressure should be, it runs fine at 30 and when it stalls the pressure does not drop, i had a problem like this befor but it set a crank sensor code and it was my crank sensor, this time i do not have any codes and i have an old snapon scanner without snap shot so i cant get the data at the stall point, anyone very familiar with jeeps, help would be great.

No, at my school its still Converse. How do I get this on my guitar, the sound of the strings?

It's kind of hard to deceifer the string instruments in that song. I'm guessing the really tonal Persian sound your looking for is coming from a mandolin. The guitar part in that song sounds very legato from what I can tell. if you want a very tonal sound like that I'd turn the bridge pickup on and pick about an inch an from the bridge. If youre playing an acoustic and don't have pickups or you still want more of that "stringy" sound I'd try using artificial tortoise shell picks. Hope this helps man, rock on! XD

I have been having some strange symptoms. can someone help me?

they are: a tight feeling in my neck, (along my carotids), a heavy head, dizziness, clumsiness, feeling foggy, pulsing sensations in my neck and ears, trembling, and a few hard palpitations mixed in. the tightness in my neck and felling dizzy and light-headed, like i am going to faint gets worse when i am chewing (weird huh) and better when i lay down. i have stage 1 hypertension, and i have a home bp monitor. i have been taking my bp when this happens and its not terribly irregular, so i ruled out low bp to be the cause i guess. it's very scary, sorry for rambling, PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ME :( thank you

Court/small wedding, what should i wear?

My bf and I decided that we are going to do the small wedding this december with just our parents. He just came back from iraq a few months ago after 15 months! How do i keep carpet clean with 2 kids?

My weight gain diet has gone from healthy to very bad...?

i am on a 5000 calorie diet to gain weight...it used to b an extremely healthy weight gain diet but now i just realized that in one week, i consume 2 of those large 1 gallon and a quart buckets of chocolate fudge brownie ice cream, 2 jars of peanut er, 1 1/2 cans of honey roasted nuts, 2 bags of m&m's, 3 bags of dried fruit, and 2 gallons of milk/chocolate milk...now i have intense sugar, nut, and chocolate cravings and my 5000 calories a day of healthy calories turned into 5000 calories of ice cream, fig newtons, nuts, peanut er, chocolate, an all that junk! but i am now gaining weight quicker that i couldnt gain hen eating healthy even if it was the same amount of calories...now i cannot stand my thighs or stomach and i am not allowed 2 exercise at all! BUT THATS JUST THE FOOD I EAT IN ADDITION 2 THE OTHER HEALTHY FOODS I STILL EAT(so its just extra) AND NOW I CANT STOP EATING THIS JUNK AND HAVE SERIOUS CRAVINGS BUT IM GAINING THE WEIGHT I NEED BUT CANT STOP! WHAT CAN I DO

I woke up around 11:45. Then i had a blueberry muffin. Then before i had gymnastics/aerobics i ate a serving size of vegtable soup, 6 ritz crackers, some quakes, some raisans, and then i had two hours of gymnastics/aerobics, then after i ate dinner which was some fishsticks with ketchup (gross i know), potatoes with gravy, and salad. Then for dessert I had a yogurt. Thats about 1050 calories. And i ate too much. What could i do? And is this ok? I only wanted to have like 800 calories today.

I've heard rumors that eating too many complex carbs are bad for bodybuilding, is it true? I eat alot of complex carbs. Basically, my 6 hour meals have a TON of protein and alot of complex carbs too. It's composed of kidney beans, green peas, tuna, and i stick some brown rice in there. I usually eat it 1-2 hours before bed too. Is it bad for me to ingest this many complex carbs? I've heard they're required for building muscle but I don't know if I should be eating this much?
