I think you should wait on trying to start a relationship. Long distance relationships rarely work, because jealousy usually sets in after awhile. Then it could leave you feeling bitter and the friendship would be ruined....I know you like him a lot, but be patient if you two want to be together one day it will happen....but wait until it is not long distance anymore....trust is a very senstitive matter in a relationship and long distance will work on your trust in a bad way ....right now you don't have a commitment so trust is not an issue, but as soon as you decide to be committed it will be hard to stay in that trust frame of mind. Give it some time and enjoy the way you both are right now.
