What is the Triumph Spitfire like to own?

I am 17 the moment and when I'm 18 I am thinking it buying a Spitfire. I haven't owned a car of my own before but I drive my mum's espace. I have worked on cars bike and tractors for years so I am not bothered about maintenance. I would enjoy something new to work on. What are they like to own? Would they be suitable for an everyday car for me to go to my school, I'm still in sixth form? Thanks
